New York Tech's College of Arts & Sciences / Biological & Chemical Sciences is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant at the New York City campus. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the department chair in the operation of the office
  • Assist and support department faculty with course scheduling, assignments, copies and proctoring
  • Adjunct and full-time faculty and staff onboarding
  • Assist with student/faculty/course issues (registration, scheduling, room changes, final exam scheduling, etc.)
  • Assign students to faculty advisors
  • Answering telephones, and emailing correspondences
  • Ordering of office supplies, departmental needs, faculty purchases, etc.
  • Process instructional and non-instructional compensation of full and part-time faculty
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies (paper, ink, grade books, etc.) for the department
  • Maintain department  files and of  faculty, and students
  • Schedule departmental meetings & record meeting minutes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Proficiency in working with PC based programs including Microsoft Office.

• Previous experience in administration is preferred.

• Strong written, organizational and communications skills

USD $45,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $50,000.00/Yr.
