Responsibilities

  • Represent NYITCOM at local and national recruitment events, with a focus on engaging pre-med applicants. Conduct targeted outreach in key recruitment territories, with special emphasis on institutions holding articulation agreements. Manage and execute the recruitment schedule using cost-effective strategies to maximize in-person engagement with advisors and prospective students.
  • Deliver presentations to prospective applicants through on-campus and virtual information sessions, campus tours, and off-campus events at colleges and universities. Engage with pre-med student clubs, organizations, and honor societies to promote NYITCOM. Prepare and maintain detailed progress reports on all recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate the Student Ambassador Program, including assisting with the selection and training of Student Ambassadors and managing campus tour schedules. Collaborate with student groups and faculty to organize and staff Saturday tours.
  • Maintain database of Delta Region pre-med advisors for outreach and relationships building. Collaborate with Pipeline Programs to support and promote programming that engages in more consistent outreach with articulation agreement and pathway schools and sustains their active participation.
  • Assist Director in the creation and update of admissions marketing materials, publications, recruitment materials and promotional items.
  • Assist with managing the Admissions inbox and maintaining communication with prospective and recruited students, including responding to inquiries and providing admissions-related information. Serve as a backup for answering phone calls and monitoring emails to ensure timely and consistent support.
  • Participate in NYITCOM Student Administration Events. (Orientation, Hooding, White Coat Ceremony, and others).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 2-5 years’ admissions experience in a college or university admissions office required.
  • Experience in higher education preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with professional school admissions. Knowledge of admissions recruitment planning. Knowledge of admissions process, educational systems, and requirements for internationally trained students.
  • Communication skills must be excellent in both written and verbal forms
  • Must be organized, prompt, professional and a self-starter who is able to work independently, effectively, and accurately. Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Effectively manage high volume processing in a multi campus college . Work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, alumni, and outside constituents.
