Responsibilities

Summary

 

New York Institute of Technology's Jonesboro, Arkansas campus is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the incumbent will assist in the preparation and management of the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine school’s annual budget for the Jonesboro, Arkansas campus to ensure programs and processes are efficient, stable and sustainable.

 

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and management of the NYITCOM – Arkansas plans and budgets with the Director of Finance
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling for current and new business opportunities
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate revenue and expense variances to management
  • Manage and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of campus statements, KPIs, analytics and metrics
  • Key partner in maximizing profitability in each revenue stream (clinics, graduate programs, D.O. and etc.)
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and create efficiencies, draft and maintain campus policies and procedures and consult with Director and Dean to strategize and implement
  • Key participant in special projects and other campus initiatives, completing deliverables within established timelines
  • Manage and analyze all NYITCOM – Arkansas Accounts Payable (Invoicing, payments, purchase orders and etc.)
  • Developing business cases and business plans for potential future programs
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Director of Finance and/or Dean

Qualifications

  • BA degree in Finance or Business required, MBA preferred
  • Three plus years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance or related field
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge and experience required (pivoting, charting, graphs, VLOOKUPs and etc.)
  • Knowledge of the Workday platform preferred
  • Higher Education experience is a plus
  • Self-starter and must be able to work independently
