Responsibilities

NYIT’s College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks an Administrative Specialist for the Department of Clinical Education located at our Long Island (Old Westbury) campus. Reporting to the Director, the Administrative Specialist will help support our Clinical Education Program for third- and fourth-year medical students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Use online resources, some internal and some third-party external, to coordinate/track multiple academic requirements for third- and fourth-year medical students.
  • Communicate with students weekly regarding the completion of their academic requirements.
  • Maintain and update Clinical Education Shared Drive and other operational databases.
  • Serve as a back-up for the operation of VSAS and Technology-Mediated Online Curriculum Resources.
  • Interact with medical students and Affiliated and Non-Affiliated sites to facilitate the scheduling of third- and fourth-year rotations.
  • Serve as a back-up for COMAT-related tasks
  • Process, file and upload documents to Learning Management Systems.
  • Assist in the development and large-scale updates of the data entry systems/databases.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required.

1-2 years’ experience working in a college setting and/or a busy office environment.

Excellent organization, communication and customer service skills. 

Computer-savvy in the Windows 10 environment and comfortable with office technology. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

 

Minimum Salary

USD $45,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $50,000.00/Yr.
