The Humanities Department of New York Institute of Technology (NYC and LI campus) invite applications for Adjunct Instructors who have relevant experience teaching writing courses (first-year composition, professional and/or technical writing) at the college level.
The qualified candidate must have a master’s degree in English or a related field.
Teaching experience is also desired.
For professional and technical writing having work experience in the field is a plus.
Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating innovative approaches to teaching composition in fully online learning environments.
Familiarity with online learning platforms (Canvas) is a requirement.
All adjuncts will be expected to participate in orientation to teaching technologies, as needed, before the start of the semester.
