NYIT’s College of Engineering and Computing Sciences seeks a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to start in the fall of 2024 to be located at the New York City campus.

 

The postdoc would be encouraged to pursue independent collaborations. CoECS offers a unique environment for pursuing a postdoc, and the New York City metropolitan area offers unmatched access to top academic institutions, industry research labs, and startups.

 

The initial appointment would be for one year, with the potential to extend to a 2nd.

 

Responsibilities

  • Successful applicants will work under the mentorship of a tenure-track or tenured faculty member.
  • Research and Development: Develop novel algorithms, models, and methodologies to address problems pertaining to the individual’s areas of research.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and contribute to a stimulating research environment.
  • Publication: Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals to contribute to the scientific community's knowledge.

Qualifications

 

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical (and/or Computer) Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Civil Engineering or a related field. We are looking for candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds, including those who have experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A proactive and self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently on research projects.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

 

Minimum Salary

USD $55,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $75,000.00/Yr.
