New York Tech’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, seeks an Assistant Professor, HIPAA Compliance Officer located at the Long Island (Old Westbury, NY) campus. 

Responsibilities

HIPPA Compliance Officer duties will include being responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our organization’s privacy policies and ensuring protected health information (PHI) is secure.

 

The teaching component will include didactics related to HIPPA, PHI, Legal and ethical issues in medicine. Involvement in Case based learning editing and developing medicolegal aspects. 

 

Service commitments will include being an advisor/mentor for the Student Advisement and Mentoring program, committee participation and involvement in various student activities and/or groups.

 

Research will include participating in scholarly activity depending on interests and specialty.

Qualifications

 

JD, or DO/MD with experience or interest in this area.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

 

Minimum Salary

USD $150,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $160,000.00/Yr.
