Summary: 

 

New York Institute of Technology's Jonesboro, Arkansas campus is seeking an Assistant Dean, Student Administration. Reporting to the Campus Dean, the incumbent provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Student Administration functions at the Arkansas campus of New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Life, Career Development, Counseling and Wellness, and Pipeline/Pathway Programs. Responsibilities include implementing institutional policies, supervising key departmental leaders, coordinating major campus events and student success initiatives, managing outreach and post-baccalaureate programs, serving on multiple college committees and the senior management team, overseeing Title IX activities, and ensuring high-quality student services, wellness support, and access to academic and administrative resources for students at the Arkansas location.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior advisor to campus leadership and participate as a member of the campus Senior Leadership Team, contributing to institutional planning, policy development, and operational decision-making
  • Provide executive leadership, policies, processes and strategic oversight for all Student Administration functions at the Arkansas campus, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Life, Career and Residency Placement, Counseling and Wellness, and Pathway Programs
  • Responsible for developing and coordinating all College events including, but not limited to: Orientation, Enrollment Services days, White Coat Ceremony, Match Day Ceremony, and the Graduation/Hooding Ceremony on the campus at A-State in Jonesboro, AR
  • Provide oversight and fiscal management of an approximately $1.15 million annual budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources, ongoing expenditure monitoring, and alignment with departmental and institutional priorities
  • Coordinate the implementation of the Admissions and Financial Aid policies and procedures with the Central Processing area leaders located in Old Westbury
  • Develop and coordinate college outreach and academic preparation programs to serve as a pipeline for students’ engagement and enrollment
  • Lead the coordination and implementation of the Freshman-to-Physician Pathway Program partnerships, supporting students throughout their undergraduate experience through intentional programming, advising, and experiences designed to prepare them for successful admission to and transition into medical school
  • Serve as a member of the NYITCOM Admissions Oversight Committee, Admissions Decisions Committee, Student Progress Committee, Ethics and Professionalism Board Advisor, and Behavioral Intervention Team
  • Serve as the campus Title IX designee, providing leadership for compliance, training, investigations, prevention efforts, and related policy implementation
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and operational processes that support student success, engagement, retention, and overall campus experience
  • Supervise counseling and wellness professionals who lead initiatives and student support services, ensuring access to physical health, mental health, counseling, and other resources that promote student well-being
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required

• 5-10 years’ experience in higher education, preferably in admissions, financial aid, recruitment, student life, student conduct

• Required to obtain certification as Title IX Investigator

• Substantial experience in student services administration

• Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse community of students, alumni, faculty and staff

• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

• Experience in developing and managing budgets
