PATH Success Coaches will play a key role in supporting our Pathways for Advancing and Thriving in Higher Education (PATH) Program students funded by the U.S. Department of Education Postsecondary Student Success Grant (PSSG). Position Duration: This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, grant-funded through June 30, 2028. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funding.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Associate Director of Student Success Programs and PATH Program Manager in planning, organizing, and executing program activities, outreach, and meetings.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for PATH program inquiries, emails, and phone calls.
  • Assist PATH Coaches with proactive outreach and communication to PATH students; respond to students’ questions, concerns and needs.
  • Maintain organized program records, including participant data, attendance records, and other relevant documentation; Gain proficiency with New York Tech’s student success software and reports.
  • Assist in managing program resources, including materials, supplies, and technology necessary for program implementation.
  • Manage on- and off-campus event logistics including scheduling, ordering of goods, coordinating hospitality, reserving space, purchasing tickets, and day-of coordination.
  • Provide on-site support during program events, workshops, and meetings.
  • Assist with logistics related to the second-year experience course (taught by PATH Success Coaches), focusing on study skills, time management, goal setting, and academic strategies.
  • Develop flyers and marketing material; create and manage events using CampusGroups; ensure website content is up to date.
  • Support annual recruitment of new students into the program.
  • Occasional travel to the NYC campus required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to three years of experience working with college students.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with underserved students and demonstrated sensitivity to cultural diversity preferred.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with meeting coordination and budgets preferred.
  • Competency in using standard office software (Microsoft Office suite, Google-suite) and the ability to learn new technology.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

 

Minimum Salary

USD $52,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $56,000.00/Yr.
