Responsibilities

This position will start in the Fall semester of 2024 and will primarily involve teaching accounting courses for our Manhattan campus's Executive MBA (EMBA) program. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to teach in our joint MBA program with Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, China. This unique opportunity offers exposure to international business environments and provides valuable cross-cultural teaching experiences. 

 

Qualifications

Candidates should have an M.S., MBA, or Ph.D. degree in Accounting or a related field.

Professional certifications (e.g., CPA) and/or publications in accounting-related journals are desirable but optional.

Flexibility and willingness to travel to China periodically to teach in the NYIT-JUFE joint MBA program for four weeks (9 credits teaching load in total).

New York Tech will cover the travel expenses and help for applying for visa to China.

Previous teaching experience at the college or university level, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer. Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.

Minimum Salary

USD $95.00/Hr.

Maximum Salary

USD $104.00/Hr.
