New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Jonesboro, Arkansas is currently recruiting for a Medical Billing Coordinator for the Arkansas Medical Clinic.
Reconcile End-of-Month Reports with deposits for both eCW and MDe for NYIT Accounting Department.
Manage invoicing and payments from outside contracts. Assist all sites with pricing for self-paying patients.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for providers.
Management of credit card machine at all sites.
Assist providers with coding questions.
Assist with provider participation on insurances.
Assist provider with completion of forms i.e. No-Fault and Pre-Existing Condition.
Checks outstanding balance, if any, on graduating students from NYIT and NYITCOM.
Set up patient payment plans.
Review requests for Financial Hardship.
Create claims for Wellness monthly.
Post payments for Wellness as received.
Print statements for Wellness patients.
Handle patient complaints/adjustments with statements received.
Post patient payments as received
Post insurance payments as received
Print claims for company physicals and send to appropriate company for payment.
Review ERAs (Electronic Remittance Advices) received by MDe; print any payments and denials for claims prior to May 1, 2013, for entry into eCW
Review monthly reports provided by MDe
Review past due accounts on MDe Dashboard program
Review return mail patient accounts on MDe Dashboard program
Processing of credit cards from patients who called in, including entry in system
Processing of credit cards received by MDe through Lockbox, including entry in system
Manage files for MDe for self-pay patients and for Medicare patients who have reached maximum rehab visits
Maintain confidentiality and adheres to AHCC/FHCC HIPAA Compliance
Performs other duties as assigned
The duties above require the individual to perform each task consecutively therefore percentage of time cannot be divided.
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in claims processing, insurance billing and ICD 10 and CPT coding.
Computer skills required.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills
Must be detailed oriented.
