New York Institute of Technology is seeking a full-time STEM Trainer and R&D Specialist for the Technology Based Learning Systems (TBLS) Department. TBLS has been a leader in Instructional Technology for K–12 schools for over 30 years. TBLS has worked with the state, federal agencies and private foundations on the uses of emerging technologies to enhance teaching and learning. 


This position will be responsible for developing and implementing STEM-based enrichment activities and researching emerging technologies.


Responsibilities include:

  •  Working closely with school district personnel, STEP Associate Director, as well as, educational technology companies. 
  • Research and development
  • Support K-12 schools 


Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field or Education required.

Master’s Degree preferred.

Only candidates with proficiency in educational technology, Excel, report writing and program organization, will be considered.

Ideal candidates will have K-12 teaching certification and experience in STEM and working with minority students and/or impoverished communities.  

Some travel required and limited evening and weekend activities. 

Valid Driver’s license.
