    New York Tech Athletics seeks a part-time Assistant Coach for its Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Program in accordance with NCAA, East Coast Conference and University Rules, Regulations and Policies. Reporting to the Head Coach, this position will perform or assist with a wide variety of coaching and administrative duties in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the team, Intercollegiate Athletics and the University.

    Responsibilities include:


    • Plan and Implement Practice; create skill sessions/training athletes.
    • Assist the Head Coach in recruiting and selection of qualified prospective student athletes.
    • Attend all meets, away and at home and assist in managing day of competition operations.
    • Assist Head Coach in fund raising and academic support of student athletes.
    • Support the academic progress of student athletes.
    • Develop and implement strategies for motivating student athletes as well as monitoring the budget and community relations.
    • Assist in coordinating operational aspects of the program.


    Bachelor Degree or higher required plus 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Master’s Degree preferred.

    Track & Field coaching experience at a NCAA DI or DII level program preferred.

    First Aid & CPR training Certificates required.

    Valid Driver’s license.
