The Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) is inviting applications for a renewable full-time non-tenure-track teaching position, at the Assistant Professor level, in Chemistry. The initial appointment is for 2 years and begins September 2020, located in Old Westbury, Long Island.
The Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences combines the disciplines of Biology and Chemistry. Our Long Island campus has approximately 500 students majoring in biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, and premed studies.

Teaching 21 credit hours for the academic year of undergraduate courses in General Chemistry I & II (lecture and lab) and one or more advanced courses. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, curriculum development, and other services to the department and the college.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field, and preferably have prior teaching experience in an undergraduate academic setting employing modern pedagogical strategies. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.\
