    • Write policies and procedures related to the capital construction programs, budgets and procedures for managing the design and construction process with input from Design & Construction, Capital Projects Financial Management, Procurement and other areas as needed. Create training materials for the annual capital budget request process.
    • In conjunction with Procurement Services and other departments, establish process, criteria, and documentation for vendor/contractor pre-qualification for projects.
    • Create vendor onboarding process: how to do business with NYIT Design & Construction, information for contractor kick-off meetings, etc.
    • Develop space-related strategic vision in conjunction with NYIT administration for existing and long-term facility needs. Manage and maintain space inventory for NYIT New York campuses.  Analyze space requests, resolve space conflicts, track space commitments, provide recommendations to management, and offer advice and consultation to the College for effective assignment and re-assignment of space as well as long term space planning.
    • Develop and implement Design and Construction and other associated product standards for use throughout NYIT. Keep standards current.
    • Create Job Order Contracting (JOC) process and identify opportunities to utilize JOC for projects in collaboration with Directors of Procurement Services, Design & Construction, and Facilities Operations. Work with Office of General Counsel to establish JOC policies and procedures to mitigate risk and increase cost efficiencies.
    • Perform continuous improvement analyses to streamline projects and processes; make recommendations as appropriate to Executive Director for execution.
    • Supervise Senior Specialist, Conference Services.
    • Responsible for Conference Services at all New York Campuses. Oversee conference services events, schedule, contracts, revenue and expenses.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field and a minimum of four years relevant experience required.
    • Strong presentation skills, including written and verbal communications.
    • Must possess strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
    • Ability to prepare accurate and appropriate documentation
    • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and solve complex problems.
    • Experience in the design and construction process, from inception to closeout, including contract negotiation
    • Experience with and understanding of union requirements
    • Must have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
