    NYIT’s College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow, for the department of Biomedical Sciences located in Old Westbury.


    Development and execution of experiments, data analysis, computational modeling, manuscript preparation


    Work with collaborators and other members of the research team at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at the New York Institute of Technology - Long Island Campus.


    Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering or a related discipline.


    Have expertise in more than one of the following areas: cardiovascular research, surface metrology, micro-CT, finite element analysis, and CFD-FSI computational modeling.


    The successful candidate is expected to apply for extramural postdoctoral funding.


    The primary objective of this position is to develop integrated research into mechanisms of vascular calcification and atherosclerosis. A strong background in computational modeling (supported by peer-reviewed publications) and motivation to pursue biomedical research are required.
