    The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, located on Long Island (Old Westbury, N.Y.), is requesting applications for a Physician Assistant. New York Institute of Technology - College of Osteopathic Medicine just celebrated its 40th Anniversary as one of the largest single-campus medical schools in the U.S.


    • Doing clinical Intakes and follow ups for patients being evaluated for and established with hypermobility EDS and hypermobility spectrum disorders

    • Writing letters of support for those patients requesting work and school accommodations; writing disability letters of support

    • Advising patients of their lab and consult findings. Providing support and answering questions that they might have

    • Assisting with any research study

    • Conducting retrospective medical chart reviews

    • Assisting patients in identifying resources such as when they are considering applying for social security disability

    • Assisting in creating informational materials for newsletters and other marketing tools that would be understandable to the general population

    • Update EDS physician and resource list

    • Going to EDS meetings and advertise NYIT services

    • Duties as assigned by supervisor


    Required degree: PA, NP
    Familiar with primary care
    Familiarity with hypermobility, and ehlers-danlos syndrome
    Must have a NYS licensure
