    The College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at NYIT is inviting applications for a renewable full-time non tenure track teaching position, at the Assistant Professor level in Computer Science.  The initial appointment is for 2 years and begins September 2019, located in Old  Westbury, NY.

    Responsibilities

    Teach in courses for the MS/BS Computer Science.

     

    Provide academic advisement to students, help with program assessment, participate in curriculum development via new course development and program updates, participate in new student recruitment, participate in grant writing for innovative teaching, mentor student clubs, and participate in university-wide committee work and service.  

     

    Successful candidates will share our vision to grow the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences into a leader in applied research and a premier source of student talent in the New York Metropolitan Area and globally.

    Qualifications

    A Master's Degree is required.  A Ph.D in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

     

    Must have excellent communication skills and a solid track record in academia or industry.
