    Responsibilities

    New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) – Office of Admissions seeks an Operation Specialist for its NYC (Manhattan) campus. Reporting to the Senior Operations Specialist the Operation Specialist will act as the main point of contact in the Admissions Office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as the Admissions receptionist in the NYC enrollment services area, speaking with and directing walk-in visitors.
    • Answer and direct all incoming phone calls.
    • Respond to, maintain and distribute voicemail messages from the main admissions voicemail account.
    • Respond to, maintain and distribute incoming emails from assigned department email account(s).
    • Data entry into student information system SIS (Oracle PeopleSoft).
    • Convert incoming application materials into digital format and perform quality assurance using our Content Management System CMS (Image Now).
    • Connect digital application materials to student’s digital file.
    • Manage digital files.
    • Trouble shoot and solve issues related to student’s record.
    • Follow up with counselors regarding incomplete admissions applications.
    • Take part in all enrollment services events as required.

     

     

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma required plus Associate Degree or equivalent.

    Bachelor preferred.

    1 to 3 years of administrative experience.

    1 to 3 years of admissions, higher education experience.

    Some weekend and late night works is required

    Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required.

    Advanced computer skills needed.

    Strong organization skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
