    NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) offers 90 degree programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees, in more than 50 fields of study, including architecture and design; arts and sciences; education; engineering and computing sciences; health professions; management; and osteopathic medicine.     Manager of recruitment territory as assigned. Participate in college fairs, high school visits, and on-site admissions events within the territory. Provide guidance directors/counselors with up to date information about NYIT. Represent NYIT at the national level: NACAC/WSCA/NYSACAC/NJACAC/IACAC/WACAC.


    Review all applications in assigned queue to determining eligibility for acceptance.  Review and make decisions for all students who are participating in on-site admissions events. Reach out to our applicant pool via email, tele-counseling and fixed communication.


    Act as a first year advisor for students after students completed their placement exams. Also helped students with their first semester schedule and registration.


    Assist with all walk-in traffic. See and assist students that come to campus on a walk in basis. Help to answer questions that they may have as well as review a student on the spot for an admissions decision.


    Assist tour families. Help to schedule and also provide tours of the NYIT campus as well as the residential facilities.


    Attend and coordinate open house and preview day events at both campuses.


    Develop recruitment strategies for the fall and spring recruitment season.


    Assist with processing of documents. Also process all on-site paperwork.


    Research and analyze individual recruitment territories. Create a territory research project each summer to analyze the territory to make more targeted recruitment goals.



    A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree and knowledge of higher education education in enrollment services is preferred.


    Strong working knowledge of excel, word, and PowerPoint as well as understanding of data reports and data entry.


    Must have strong working knowledge and use of customer relationship management systems and be comfortable with public speaking.


    Must be available to travel and flexible to work long hours and weekends.  Valid driver’s license needed


    Excellent customer service to internal and external visitors


    Proven ability to multi-task in an active work environment


    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills required


    Experience/working knowledge of Oracle’s Peoplesoft or other student information application is preferred.


    Perform other duties as assigned.
