    The College of Arts and Sciences of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), an independent senior comprehensive college with campuses on Long Island, in Manhattan, and in various countries providing graduate and undergraduate education seeks applicants for an adjunct faculty position in motion capture and computer graphic production under the Department of Digital Art & Design starting in Fall of 2018 at its New York campuses.  The ideal candidate will have a wide range of knowledge and expertise in the technical applications of motion capture within the context of art and design disciplines. Opportunities are available at both Manhattan and Old Westbury campuses. 


    •  Candidates should possess an M.F.A. or related degree in the fields of digital art, graphic design, or fine arts.
    • Familiarity with industry standard software and should possess practical experience with industry post-production pipeline in the current cg/animation industry. 
    • Successful candidates will be able to contribute their technical expertise within the context of an academic environment that stresses the aesthetic, conceptual, and historical within a student’s portfolio development.
    • Individuals who demonstrate dedication, creativity, and open-mindedness are highly preferred.
    • High level of expertise of operations of motion capture facilities
    • Demonstration of technical instruction in the use of game design, animation and motion capture 
    • Experience in motion capture pipeline, workflow/set up and production environment 
    • Expertise in standard 3D animation, rendering and motion capture software
    • Teaching experience at a college level
