NYIT’s College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Manager for the Office of Pre- Clinical Education.
Supervise Pre-Clinical Education Staff (Curriculum Coordinators and Exam Coordinators); Coordinate work assignments, review/monitor performance; review all schedules/exams, electronic calendars, and related materials to ensure accuracy and timeliness; ensure smooth integration of Year 1 and Year 2 curricular schedules/examinations
Manage relevant curricular initiatives.
Manage student attendance requirements and follow-up activities
Manage lecturer payment process.
Manage syllabus development process.
Manage student on-line HIPAA, Infection Control, Child Abuse Reporter Training Seminar Completion Process.
Serve as liaison between Office of Pre-Clinical Education and adjunct, part-time, and full-time faculty delivering on-campus instruction.
Assist with coordination of Year 1 and Year 2 academic events, including orientation.
Ensure that all Year 1 and 2 policies and procedures are implemented/updated as needed.
Ensure that current updates are reflected in relevant publications such as the Student Handbook and Catalog. Regularly review NYITCOM website and ensure that it contains current/accurate/relevant information regarding Years 1 and 2.
Coordinate with staff on auditoriums/rooms needed and develop/maintain process of communicating Year 1 and 2 room requirements with relevant others, inclusive of responding to inquiries regarding Office of Pre-Clinical Education room use.
Manage relevant aspects of Year 1 and Year 2 end of course/faculty assessment process.
Monitor student inquiries to ensure that all Year 1 and Year 2 inquiries (in person, electronic, etc.) are appropriately addressed in a timely fashion.
Perform additional responsibilities, as assigned.
Master's degree in education, health, or a related discipline is required.
Expertise in education, health, or a related field.
Academic administrative experience.
Strong interpersonal, administrative/organizational, and computer skills.
Aptitude for educational technology.
