The Department of Mathematics of NYIT in Old Westbury seeks an Assistant Professor for the Fall of 2018.



Teach Statistics courses, as well as calculus and pre-calculus service courses and other advanced courses in candidate’s area of specialization.

NYIT emphasizes interdisciplinary research and teaching.

Faculty member will have the opportunity to develop and participate in new interdisciplinary initiatives with other disciplines including Biology, Bio-engineering or any other NYIT communities.

Possible occasional teaching in Manhattan.




A doctoral degree in Statistics/Bio-statistics/Applied Mathematics is required at the time of appointment. Candidate must demonstrate excellent teaching and should have a clear research plan and a record of research activities that shows promise of publication and external funding.
