NYIT is currently recruiting for an IT Specialist who specializes in A/V equipment to provide support to the Institute for Clinical Competence at New York Institure of Tehnology College of Osteopathic Medicine campus at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas


  • Provide Technical support and maintain ICC (Institute for Clinical Competence) hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, cameras, A/V equipment) and software (EMS), and high fidelity simulators (CAE and Laerdal), perform repairs, updates, upgrades as needed, and assist during labs and assessments
  • Provide technical support and maintain Telemedicine hardware and software and assist during labs and assessments
  • Recruit and train student workers in ICC and Telemedicine technology, collaborate with IT staff at NYIT; NYITCOM at Old Westbury, and A-State University
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or closely related field required with 1-3 years of directly applicable experience and/or 3-5 years of related experience, not limited to, but including:
  • Experience with EMS, High Fidelity Simulators, and/or Telemedicine
  • Experience with Computer networks, servers, virtual environments, Microsoft and Apple hardware and software, and Enterprise Applications
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in an integrated systems environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills is required.
