NYIT’s College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a full time Office Assistant for the Family Health Center.   The Office Assistant will work in this multi-specialty physician’s office answering telephones, taking incoming messages and scheduling appointments.  He/She will also greet and receive patients, verify information and check insurance eligibility. Other responsibilities include collecting payments, reconciling cash drawer, obtaining insurance referrals as well as scanning consults, reports and other documents into the system and performing other duties as assigned.


HS diploma or equivalent required.  Two years of medical office experience needed and an understanding of medical terminology.  Excellent customer service and computer (MS Office) skills needed. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.  Must be able to work a 1 Saturday a month rotation. May require travel to other location.
