New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine, located on Long Island (Old Westbury, N.Y.), is requesting applications for an Assistant Professor position in the department of Biomedical Sciences . New York Institute of Technology - College of Osteopathic Medicine just celebrated its 40th Anniversary as one of the largest single-campus medical schools in the U.S.
Candidates are expected to contribute to medical school teaching, including courses in the newly approved DO/PhD program, and to develop an active, externally funded research program.
The NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) has vibrant and rapidly growing research programs with strengths in neuroscience, cardiology, nephrology, cancer biology, and evolutionary and comparative anatomy, with state of the art equipment and facilities. The COM has campuses in Old Westbury, New York (Long Island) and in Jonesboro Arkansas.
PhD, MD, or DO degree or MD/PhD Degree.
Expertise in the areas of cancer biology and neurodegenerative diseases is preferred.
Candidates who may further strengthen cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, immunology, inflammation, infectious diseases, and renal physiology & development in the department are also encouraged to apply. Candidates with strong research and funding records of accomplishment at the level of Associate or Full Professor will be considered.
