The Department of Communication Arts at the New York Institute of Technology seeks an assistant professor of communication.Working in the media capital of the world, the successful candidate will strengthen the curriculum in such areas as public relations, social and emerging media, web design, and Big Data. Ability to teach in the public relations and advertising sequence is a must.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Communication or a relevant field; a record of scholarly activity appropriate for the rank; and evidence of successful teaching. Candidates should have experience working with popular social media monitoring and management tools, and experience with website analysis using a variety of analytical tools. Familiarity with New York City and professional experience in the communications industry are preferred. Projected Fall 2017 start.
